I used to dislike those vintage gowns with those chiffon cape cause it feels too feminine, restricted and glamourized for someone with a part tomboyish character like me. Sometimes when i do see it in vintage shops, theres no chance that i would try it on cause in my mind, ive already banished it to the "clothes i dont touch" category.<br /><br />But since once when i saw it on some lady, or should i say a girl in her 20s who looks elegant and poised wearing those cape vintage gowns, i immediately had a change of heart. She wore the dusty pink dress with chandelier earrings, with hair loosely tied up in a french twist, light make up and ballet flats. To de-glamourize it, she wore it with black leggings.<br /><br />So i finally got my hands on one of these cape gowns for S$3.50 on ebay. Ha! A full length lightly pleated dust pink gown with lace rims on the cape. But, ive decided to chop it up to knee-length or slightly above, so i can give it more daily wear instead of restricting it to those important functions or any of the like.
